Carlos earned his Master’s Degree in Counseling from Boise State University and is a Licensed Professional Counselor in Idaho and an Associate Clinical Mental Health Counselor in Utah, currently. He also earned a Bachelor’s degree from Brigham Young University-Idaho in Exercise Physiology. He has worked with a variety of diverse populations including migrant families, LGBTQ clients, refugee families, etc. His therapeutic modalities of training are in Acceptance commitment therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Solution focus.

Carlos has a passion for working with children with autism since his oldest son has been diagnosed within the spectrum. In his spare time, Carlos enjoys playing sports (soccer and basketball primarily) , doing anything outdoors, dancing (folklore and salsa) and cooking carne asada. Carlos is fluent in Spanish. Carlos is excited to be back in Utah and be a part of the UTBS team. He is working as a therapist in the Lehi Center.
