Finding Balance In Holiday Chaos
In this episode of Bridging the Gap, hosted by Utah Behavior Services, we sat down with Assistant Director Kenzie Bradshaw and RBT Mentor Cameron Barnes to discuss support during the holiday season and tips and tricks for getting everybody ready for the transition to winter break.
The holiday season can be overwhelming for families, with changes in routines, busy schedules, and transitions like winter breaks. Utah Behavior Services speaks about both community support and strategies to help families and staff navigate the holiday chaos.
Utah Behavior Service’s food drive was a huge success, collecting over 19,655 food items—well beyond their goal—while their Angel Tree campaign fulfilled over 100 wish lists for children in need. These efforts not only helped families in the community but also brought everyone together in the spirit of giving. To address the challenges that come with the season, the team provided resources for maintaining structure, especially for children who struggle with changes in routine.
Mentors and staff members worked closely to support each other, ensuring that both families and staff received the care and flexibility they needed during the holidays. Through their dedicated efforts, Utah Behavior Services demonstrated how balancing community outreach with individualized care can help families find peace and joy in the midst of holiday chaos.
