Samantha graduated with her Bachelors of Science in Criminal Justice from Upper Iowa University where she focused on human trafficking and sex crimes and has a Masters of Science Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Walden University, CACREP accredited. Samantha is a Licensed Associate Clinical Mental Health Counselor. Samantha has a diverse background in the mental health field. She has worked in case management, in hospitals as a sexual assault advocate, and in acute inpatient settings. Samantha has worked with diagnoses including Depressive Disorders, Anxiety Disorders, Bipolar Disorders, Serious and Persistent Mental Illnesses (SPMI), Post Traumatic Stress Disorders, Personality Disorders, Disruptive Mood Dysregulation Disorders, ADD/ADHD, and Addiction Disorders. She has experience conducting crisis intervention, individual therapy, family therapy, and group therapy with children, adolescents, and adults. Samantha has facilited groups on Life Skills, Anger Management, Psychoeducational Groups and Coping Skills. During her 7 ½ years in this field, Samantha has worked with clients who experienced suicidal and homicidal ideations, aggression, sexually acting out and self harming behaviors, self esteem issues, Autism, addiction, and psychosis. She has experience using various treatment modalities, including; Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Child Centered Play Therapy (CCPT), Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy (REBT), Narrative Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy (SFT), and Motivational Interviewing. Samantha is currently licensed in Arkansas, Utah, and is Nationally Certified by the NBCC. Samantha has a gentle, kind, and caring approach to therapy and understands the principles of behavior.
